Small Town, Big World: Lilburn International Festival 2016 on September 10 was bigger and better than ever. Lilburn City Park was transformed into a mini global venue. Beginning at 10 am with the Parade of Flags, attendees celebrated our world of cultures while carrying 80+ international flags around the festival field. We then heard welcoming comments by local officials, including State Representative BJ Pak. The enertainment showcased various tradional dances, music from cultures around the world. A variety of food vendors provided international and traditional foods while exhibitors from community youth organizations, churches, nonprofits, businesses, and schools provided information, crafts, games and demonstrations. A free children's play area entertained the younsters. Presenting Sponsor Nam Dae Mum brought samples of fruits and vegetables from around the world.
Make plans now to be a part of this unique festival next year. The festival is collaborative effort of the City of Lilburn and the Lilburn Community Partnership.
